Consent Futures Fellowship Summer 2026

The Consent Futures Fellowship Summer 2026 is a two-month, remote opportunity for Ontario high school student leaders ready to sharpen their advocacy, research, and policy-writing skills.

10 hours a week x 10 week

$2000 honorarium

What to Expect From the Consent Futures Summer 2026 Fellowship

    • Weekly 1.5-hour meetings with the project team and other Fellows

    • Group work, including weekly reviews of project materials, and providing written or verbal feedback, check-ins as needed

    • Inform the development, facilitation, and analysis of research with other young people

  • Part of the fellowship is getting to build legal education resources in partnership with Justice for Children and Youth (JFCY) to help students understand their rights and how to get support.

  • Develop recommendations on public policy and learn research skills with the Education for Gender Justice Research Lab, which studies the intersection of gender, violence, and education and the mobilization of education to prevent gender-based violence and discrimination. Led by Dr. Catherine Vanner, University of Windsor

    • Part two: Making Yourself Heard From school board meetings to conversations with policymakers and media, learn how to deliver your message with clarity and confidence—wherever decisions are being made.

  • Co-create a creative campaign with award-winning illustrator Tim Singleton to shift culture around consent and gender-based violence in high schools
